This is KC Kong’s second trip visit in Malaysia Sabah Borneo to continue his photography collection of the elusive birds species in Sabah Borneo. Last few month, in April was the first time KC visit to Sabah Borneo. He has successfully collected most montane endemic bird species like Whitehead’s Trogon, Whitehead’s Broadbill, Bornean Barbet, Golden-napped Barbet, Mountain Barbet and many more.
This trip is a very challenging and fruitful trip, it’s been very exciting when the time with KC.
BORNEAN BRISTLEHEAD is the main target Borneo elusive bird species in this trip. And that was the first Borneo endemic we’ve found and photograph in this trip.
BROWN BOOBOOK was one of the bonus to us when we searching of the BARRED EAGLE-OWL, BROWN WOOD OWL and others owl.
This trip we successfully to photograph three different species of trogon. They are DIARD’S TROGON, RED NAPPED TROGON and SCARLET-RUMPED TROGON.
Most trogon can be photograph with very close distant.
KC is very passion in birds and nature photography, he concern every detail of the subject in his photograph. A CRIMSON-WINGED WOODPECKER with its spoon-shape tongue.
