4 days and 3 nights deep into Kinabadana River, North Borneo Sabah Bird watching / ecotourism and wild bird photography
A birding and birdlife photography program focuses on the lowland forest and floodplain at Kinabatangan River, home to an amazingly rich diversity of birds, including rare and endemic species, due to the abundance of food plants. The relatively low canopy allows sufficient natural light to make bird viewing and photography a rewarding experience.
Malaysia National Treasure Proboscis Monkey
This Proboscis Monkey, nicknamed "Dutch", has big noses and eyes, and it's memorable. Proboscis monkeys have
extremely high IQs. The most strange thing is that the proboscis monkey has two stomachs and feeds on red leaves.
It is not afraid of suffering but sweetness. If you eat food with high sugar content by mistake, the stomach will swell
and explode. It is said that the proboscis monkey can only be seen on Borneo Island at present. There are only more
than 6,000 left. Proboscis monkeys are almost rarer than the Chinese national treasure panda. Exit. The huge
mangrove forest in the south of Kota Kinabalu is home to the precious Proboscis Monkey. Proboscis monkeys only
occur in Borneo. They mainly live in mangroves at the estuary and ocean junctions. They love to forage at dawn and
dusk, with only a few thousand left. They are endangered animals.
Proboscis monkeys have strangely long, drooping noses, thick waists, and thick white tails. They look like wearing
grey tights, orange jackets, and white bottoms. They are huge and weird. Proboscis monkeys are only found in
Borneo. They live in wet coastal areas. A male proboscis monkey often lives with up to eight females.
