Every day in an electric dinghy to the Kinabatangan River,the river will go up counter currently and you will see countless “long nose Monkey”(special Borneo species),”Silver langur”,”Macaque” and other animals and birds perched on the branches.The electric dinghy slowly drove along the river to search and observeReward,shoot these characteristic bird species in peat bogs and mangroves such as the rare “Storm Stork”, the common “Black-bellied Snake”,”Purple Heron”, “Night Heron” and “various herons”. From time to time,various hornbills are feeding on the shore,such as “Front-crowned hornbill”, “Crown-spotted hornbill”,“Black-bellied hornbill”,”Hundred-headed hornbill”,”Malay hornbill”. While in the air,various raptors are flying such as “white-bellied fishing sculptures”,”small fishing sculptures”, “gray-headed fishing sculptures”,”crested eagle sculptures”,“small eagle sculptures”and more not to be missed here.It is the highest chance to find the”Bornean Ground Cuckoo”,a rare species of Borneo.Until the night there is a round of night detection activities, at that time there is a great chance to see and shoot the “blue-ear jade”,”stork-mouth jade”,”three-toed jade”, “Malay fishing jelly”and etc. Walk along the Rainforest Discovery Centre’s low-lying rainforest trails, steel cable bridges and observation decks while searching for the color and heat bring bird species such as “Red-top bite cuckoo”, “Bright red-waist bite cuckoo”,”Dade’s bite cuckoo”,”three-toed emerald”, “Chest-collar kingfisher”,”Borneo black-crowned eight-colored emu”,”Green chest thrush”,“Crimson Mountain Pepper Bird”,”Akasaka Night-Bee Tiger”,”Black-Red Broad-billed Bird”, “Spotted Broad-billed Bird”and”Black-and-Yellow Broad-billed Bird” and so on.The birds,the “blue-throated bee-eater”, its volleying predation and the sunbird’s pecking beauty all fascinated photographers.Other than that,here you can see all kinds of rhinos with huge size. Birds are flying and “big tail” and “ground cuckoo” are preying. And woodpeckers of various sizes, leaf-spotted warbler,quasi woodpecker,cormorant and etc are even more easily seen here. This species is also one of the characteristic bird species belonging to the Borneo Lowland Rainforest. If you are lucky, you may also see a very rare endemic species of Borneo called “Borneo Bristlehead” Bornean Bristlehead.

Bird Watching / Ecological Photography Guideline:
i.Prepare telescopes to help observe and identify birds at high altitudes and distant places.
ii.The map monitor or related manual can help identify different birds from feathers, colors, and habits preferences.

iii.Wear single-toned clothes to match the surrounding environment. Wear cotton long-sleeved clothing, trousers, and waterproof stockings to guard against insects and water stings.
iv.Wear long rain boots to keep your feet dry and comfortable and avoid slipping on wet woodlands.
v.When hunting the lens of a bird, it is best to use a long lens. It is advisable to add a flash if needed,as there may be insufficient light in the trails.
